OMG... That's Mark Tioxon vol. 53

Last week I emailed everyone the recipe for our best selling kombvcha* (Witchy Kombvchy) - I hope you've enjoyed making making the best kombvcha you've ever tasted (some of you have even shared with me!) If you missed that email - just let me know and I'll tell you how to make it.

Last week I also replaced an alternator and vtec solenoid gasket in a 2015 Honda Odyssey Van (and spliced a new cable lug). That's a simple job - basically unbolting or unscrewing things and then putting them back. I just don't think too hard about it. In small bits, it's an easy peasy job.

In 1.5 weeks I'll be doing all day 15 minute portraits.

ALL DAY from 9am-5pm. Every. 15. Minutes.

Twice. Sunday March 22nd, and Sunday March 29th. So you have two chances to book your spot.

This is a fundraiser for Rise City Dance (my son's dance company!)

You can struggle and overthink things - but ultimately - you probably need new family photos, or a headshot.

I make it really easy. Like the easiest super easy. Just show up and 15-ish minutes later your session is done. And you'll have brilliant amazing photos.

You can even reward yourself with a treat afterwards (or the bribe you promised your children for being good and not grouchy (though I can often get them out of grouchy during the session - 87% of the time anyway).

15 minutes portrait sessions. Grab your spot.

Because 15 minutes really is the perfect amount of time. I have so much going on with all my different jobs (photography, kombvcha, dance dad, school board member, dance company board member, home owner that has to fix his house, fix my old cars, sales, marketing, sleep) - and 15 minutes is how I get through any day.

It's a mantra - "I just have to get through these 15 minutes."

Take a breath. And then the next 15 minutes. I don't look at the whole hour, or the entire day. That's way too overwhelming, and I might cry. Dramatically.

If I look at my whole day - I'll just want to quit before I start and crawl back into bed.

So 15 minutes is plenty for me to focus on. And then the next 15 minutes.

OH YEAH. I'm trying to sell portrait sessions here, not tell you about how I tread water on a daily basis under the crushing weight of late stage capitalism.

But I do promise that your 15 minute portrait photos will be amazing.

Pick a day, book a spot, get great photos.

Message me if you need anything!

Thanks teem!

Mark

*I did not send out the kombvcha recipe, but if you want it, let me know.
